Draft Survey (Initial / Final)

Draft Survey is used to calculate the weight of cargo loaded on a vessel or a barge at its embarkation point and unloaded at its destination. The procedure is complicated involving many factors including ballast, consumables onboard such as fuel oil, fresh water, etc., the accuracy of the vessel's hydrostatic tables, conditions of the draft markings on the vessel's hull, weather and sea conditions at the time of the survey. Our surveyor derives weight from mathematical formulas utilizing interpolation methodology, an exacting process to address correction to the perpendiculars, hull deformation, trim, heel, density for displacement, etc.
