Dry Container / Reefer Container – Cargo Survey

PESI surveyor to attend during discharging of cargo from the vessel and witness stripping of the cargo at the consignee’s premises to ascertain the goods and cause & extent of the damage. After the survey the surveyor will issue an Inspection Report of his findings including the issuance of Container Inspection Report.
The Surveyor will have to establish the extent of the damage and give an estimate quantum of loss of the cargo. He will also instruct the consignee of their obligation to mitigate the loss by way of salvage buying of the goods.
For cargos that need to be destructed outright, Surveyors must attend and witness the actual destruction and will issue a destruction certificate.
The Container survey may be conducted onboard the vessel or at shore warehouse / terminals, to determine the condition of the cargo, ascertain the nature, cause and extent of the damage sustained, if any.
PESI will issue the following Inspection Reports as follows;
- Container Inspection Report
- Inspection Report for Cargo
