Ultrasonic Hatch Tightness Survey
Ultrasonic Hatch Tightness Survey is to check the condition of related structures in the ship's hatch such as ship's hull, hatch cover, hatch-coaming plate, manhole lid, tank-top plate, tank-side plate, the watertight door at mast house/ deckhouse, ventilation pipes, ventilation, crane piler ... to detect damage, leakage which would not ensure water tightness for ships.
When conducting an Ultrasonic hatch tightness survey, PESI surveyors will perform the following tasks:
- Collect documentation, record ship’s particular.
- Check some relevant certificates.
- Check the condition of the ship's hatch: Record all defects and places of the defects.
- Test hatch tightness by the fire pump system
- Check water tightness by ultrasonic
On completion of the site survey, PESI will issue the report for the customer.
